1890-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. On the whole, this CC-mint issue was produced with great care, and a high grade example is a pleasure to behold. The problem, at least as far as advanced collectors are concerned, is that this issue is not at all common as a Gem. We are pleased to be offering this frosty example, which is certainly among the highlights of the present auction. The sharp strike is free of criticism, as are the smooth, carefully preserved surfaces. Both sides are minimally patinated with no mentionable blemishes. Housed in a green label holder. PCGS has graded 16 numerically finer examples (4/17).
