Patterns
1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-192, Pollock-235, Snow-PT13, R.5, PR63 PCGS. The obverse is the familiar Small Letters 1858 cent. The pattern reverse generally resembles the 1860 regular issue reverse, but there is no shield at the top and the wreath is closed. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This is one of the more frequently encountered early patterns. The tan-gold surfaces show only slight reflectivity in the fields, and there are minimal specks of carbon present.
