Liberty Half Eagles
1876-CC $5 Good 6 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. This well-circulated 1876-CC is a rare low-grade survivor of the Nevada Territory economy in the 1870s, where gold circulated extensively with a high attrition rate. The coin shows smooth olive-gold patina with only a few marks in the fields. The obverse rims are bold, while the lower reverse border legends merge with the rim in that area. This is the single lowest-grade 1876-CC five endorsed by CAC. Population: 2 in 6, 84 finer. CAC: 1 in 6, 9 finer (4/17).
