Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1923 $20 MS65 PCGS. Frosty original luster displays rich rose-gold and peach-orange hues throughout the thick "skin" of this Gem 1923 Saint. The strike is bold, and Liberty's figure shows only a few high-point marks. An unobtrusive coppery alloy spot appears near the obverse rim at 9 o'clock, and a few other tiny ones are seen in the eagle's feathers. PCGS reports just four numerically finer representatives (4/17).
