Penny 1880 8 over 8 Gouby BP1880Af an attempt has been made to repair the second 8. The preliminary test strike was inaccurate with the bottom of an 8 showing to the left of an original 8. A small part of that test strike also shows in the bottom centre of the original 8, NVF only the fourth example we have handled and by far the finest, the previously finest being About Fine, comes with old collector's ticket showing F99 dating from before the discovery of the variety
