Israel. Rare Lot of Four 1969 Jerusalem Mayor's Presentation Medals featuring Jerusalem Panorama. These are all rare, with undocumented mintages. The medal's obverse depicts the emblem of the city of Jerusalem, a rampant lion standing on the wall, olive branches on both sides. The word "Jerusalem" appears in Hebrew, Arabic and English. The reverse shows a schematic panorama of united Jerusalem with the Old City wall in the foreground.
First medal is 59mm tombac without dedication and signature on reverse. Second is 59mm tombac, inscribed: WITH COMPLIMENTS and signature of Mayor Teddy Kollek in English on reverse. Third is 59mm tombac, inscribed: PRESENTED and signature of Mayor Teddy Kollek in Hebrew on reverse. Fourth is 59mm 115gm of.935 silver, without dedication and signature on reverse.
