Great Britain. Double-crown, ND. S.2622; Fr-235. James I, 1603-1625. Second coinage. Initial or mintmark Coronet (1607-09). Crowned 4th bust right. Reverse: Crowned square shield with "I R" at sides. Struck on a broad flan allowing for full and generally clear lettering in the legends, with an unusually pleasing portrait for this issue, showing doubling only on the king's nose and a few letters of the legends, with only small abrasions in the soft gold, in the obverse field mainly. Finer than most. NGC graded MS-62. WINGS. Estimate Value $2,500 - 3,000
