Obverse king right in uniform. Reverse imperial German eagle. Exquisite detail on this portrait of the last German king. Probably made around 1916 the medal could have been a design or pattern for a coinage series as the obverse portrait and reverse coat of arms is similar to that featured on the gold and silver currency coinage which ended in 1915 during the First World War.
