Herennia Etruscilla. AE 28; Herennia Etruscilla; Samos, Ionia, AE 28, 13.29g. RPC-682 (14 spec., including ours). Obv: EPEN ETPO - VCKI??A CEB Bust draped r. on crescent, wearing stephane. Rx: CAMI - O - N Warrior holding round shield stepping r. onto prow, looking back and raising r. arm as though urging his comrades to join him. For a possible explanation of this reverse type see lot 393 above. From the same dies as RPC pl. 43, 682/1; as RPC notes, the same reverse die was also used for Trajan Decius, and the same obverse die for other types of Etruscilla at Samos.
