Herennius Etruscus as Caesar. AE 18; Herennius Etruscus as Caesar; 250-251 AD, Paltus, Seleucis and Pieria, Year 508, AE 18, 5.12g. RPC-1862 (3 spec., including ours), pl. 126 (same dies). Obv: [????? ???]?V ?? ?V ?????[? ????] Bare-headed, draped bust r. Rx: [????] - ???? around, date H - F across field, Nike advancing l. holding wreath and palm. ?? in the obverse legend misread ??C by RPC, following Imhoof-Blumer in Rev. Suisse de Num. VIII, 1898, p. 45. Ex Antioch Associates List 47, April 2000, no. 102; earlier in Lindgren/Kovacs (1985), no. 2112 and Hans Schulman, 6 June 1969, Mabbott Collection, lot 2585. Very rare, apparently only the third known specimen, and from the same dies as the other two, which are in Berlin ex Imhoof-Blumer and in Beirut.
