ca. 18th Century AD. This goddess likely represents Sita the consort of Rama. She stands on a multi-stepped square plinth one hand in an upright gesture and the other falling to her side she is heavily adorned with jewelry. Unusually the piece has traces of gilt around the face which is uncommon in Hindu bronze sculpture. A nice larger example of period Hindu sculpture. H. 8 3/8" (21 cm).
