Yunnan. Tang Chi Yao "No Smoking" Medal ND (c. 1920s) Fine, 44x68mm. An unusual medal, issued by warlord governor Tang Chi Yao in support of opium temperance. Once highly prized by its recipient, the medal show significant wear, with much of the blue enamel fading into the base metal (silver?). The ribbon, remaining rather bright, was obviously added later.
