Postumus, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 260-269. Antoninianus (Billon, 17-19 mm, 3.00 g, 9 h), a contemporary imitation from an irregular mint, after 266. IMP C POSVMVS [..] AVG (sic!) Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Postumus to right. Rev. S[AECV]LI FELICITA Postumus, in military attire, standing right, holding spear in right hand and globe in left. AGK (corr.) 77, Cunetio 2444 and Elmer 593 (for prototype). An interesting imitation with curiously blundered legends. Very fine.
From the Imperium Galliarum Collection, formed over the past 20 years.
