ATTICA. Athens. Circa 440s-430s BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21-25 mm, 17.15 g, 10 h). Head of Athena to right, wrearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. ΑΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Agora 8b. Svoronos pl. 13, 21ff. An excellent example with an unusuall sharp and fresh reverse. Very minor porosity on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
