Watch List notes:

MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 600-550 BC. Hemihekte – 1/12 Stater (Electrum, 8 mm, 1.34 g). Heads of two tunny fish to left; behind, tunny upward (?). Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Hurter & Liewald III, 17.2 and Von Fritze 10. Struck from a heavily worn obverse die with some breaks, otherwise, fine.


The heavy die wear and die breaks on the obverse make identification of the type difficult. We have tentatively attributed it to Kyzikos with tunny fish on the obverse, but this is far from certain.
