Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 29 mm, 23.45 g, 7 h), Rome, 134-138. HADRIANVS [AVG COS III P P] Bare-headed and draped bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. [ADVENTVI AVG IV]DAEAE / S C Hadrian, on left, standing right, raising right hand in salute and holding roll in left, facing Judaea, on right, standing left, holding patera over altar in right hand and cup in left; at her feet to left, two small boys, a third one behind her, all holding palm branches. BMC 1657. Cohen 56. RIC 893. A worn but clearly identifiable example of this very rare and popular issue. Minor corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, fine.
