China Empire Ming Dynasty 1 Kuan ND (1368-99) Pick AA10. At PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ, this is now the highest graded specimen of this number that we have auctioned. Four full margins encircle this impressive note. It has dark ink, and the red stamps on both sides are fully colored. These early bank notes were printed on relatively soft and weak mulberry paper that was colored with charcoal. Thus they did not usually hold up very well to any amount of handling. This beautiful example does not exhibit any signs of circulation through the third party holder. A note that is certainly worthy of serious consideration by serious collectors. HID08701242017
