China Imperial Bank of China Shanghai $10 22.1.1898 Pick A53r. A rare remainder from the early years of this bank that was established in 1897. This note grades PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ, perforation cancelled and with an annotation of "Dec 1907" penned within the left margin. We cannot find evidence of another example of A53 either as an issued note or as a remainder coming to auction during the last few years. In fact, this is the only A53 graded by PMG in either form.
