Norway Bear Island 10 Kroner ND (1923-24) Pick UNL. A very interesting and highly scarce issue from Bear Island, the southernmost island of the Norwegian Svalbard archipelago. The island was placed under Norwegian control following the Spitsbergen Treaty of 1920 and was privately owned by the Bjornoen AS Company where it served as a mining and whaling outpost. This example has a repaired tear at the bottom margin and grades PMG Extremely Fine 40 Net. HID08701242017
