THESSALY, Pharsalos. Mid-late 5th century BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.84 g, 1h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet / Φ-A-P-Σ (partially retrograde), head and neck of horse right; all within incuse square with rounded corners. Lavva 66 (V34/R37); BCD Thessaly II 664.2; HGC 4, 632. Near VF, toned, porosity, countermark on reverse.
