An example struck on a planchet of surprising metal features for this series, which is characterized by the rapid decay of its metallic qualities. Therefore it must certainly correspond to the start of the first Punic War against Rome.

Exemplaire frappé sur un flan de qualité métallique étonnante pour cette série qui se caractérise par la décroissance rapide de son aloi. Elle doit donc correspondre aux débuts de l'effort de guerre punique durant les premiers conflits avec Rome.
