Euboia, Histiaia. 3rd-2nd century B.C. AR tetrobol (14.66 mm, 1.76 g, 1 h). Head of Maenad right wearing wreath formed of bunches of grapes / IΣTI-AIEΩN, Nymph seated on stern of galley right; decorated with wing, holding mast with cross-piece; no symbol or monogram visible. Weber 3415; SNG Copenhagen 517. Good VF, attractive toning.

This type, commemorated the expulsion, with Athenian help of the pro-Macedonian tyrant Philistides in 340 B.C.
