Medieval Ballista Points, ca. 1200 - 1400 A.D. A pair of iron ballista points, Medieval Europe, ca. 1200-1400 AD, with long two-barbed swallowtail heads, 2-3/4” and 2-1/2” long. One has a wide socketed neck, the other a solid, spiral-twist shaft just behind the head, likely to be intentionally broken off at impact, rendering it useless as return ammunition.
