Phoenicia, Marathos. ca. 221-151 B.C. AE 21 Hexachalkon (20.86 mm, 11.64 g, 12 h). Veiled and draped Ptolemaic female bust right - Berenike II? - within dotted border / Marathos standing left holding aphlaston and resting elbow on short column; to left, date in Phoenecian characters; to right Phoenecian characters for Marathos; all within dotted border. Cf. HGC 10, 193; Svoronos 847 var (date); BMC 3-13 (various dates). Good VF, very sharp, strong contrast between devices and fields - attractive - slightly off center losing nothing.
