Lot of 10 coin mould fragments from the official Imperial Mint measuring 15 - 23mm. Obverse of Si Zhu with dot above and or below. For coin type see Hartill13.1-3.

This coin type issued just prior to private minting was authorized in 465 AD leading to incredible inflation and devaluation of the currency. These private issues were so small and thin that 1,000 of them wold make a pile less than three inches tall, and in the end they were tiny that they would break in ones hand, float on water, and were never counted in transactions, but measured by the handfull.
