provenance. Bt. Rudd, August 2008. . Before the Alton Hoard was discovered in 1996, it was assumed that the name of the son of Commios was 'Tincommius'. However, this find of gold staters provided examples displaying the full reading of the name 'Tincomarus'. This silver unit further confirms that reattribution, clearly exhibiting the suffix -marvs in the ruler's name.
