Beverley Hoard, largely disclaimed by the British Museum, refs. 2002T19, 2003T281, 2006T25, 2006T619, 2007T660, 2008T567, 2015T740. additionally recorded with the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, ref. CCI 07.1194 . . The Beverley Hoard was discovered scattered across farmland in the parish of Walkington near Beverley in annual instalments by two detectorists over the course of more than a decade starting in 1999. Although the bulk of the hoard was unearthed prior to October 2007, the latest addenda of 10 coins has been recorded as recently as 2015, bringing the current total to over 100 pieces. Whilst the majority of the coins have been disclaimed after scrutiny in relation to the Treasure Act, 21 examples from this hoard have been acquired by the Hull and East Riding Museum, a further 18 by the York Museums Trust and several retained for the national collection housed in the British Museum. All treasure references available at the time of publication have been listed above for completeness.
