Central Europe, Uncertain tribe. Ca. 1200-300 B.C. Large bronze ring money. 73 mm diameter. A large cast bronze bar bent to form a circle. A few incisions on the inner surface where the ends overlap, but otherwise unadorned. Nice green patina with some flaking. This piece seems to have served as a form of proto-money as it is too small to form a bracelet or armband, and too heavy for a small child to wear. An interesting and unusual piece.
