Byzantine or Islamic. Ca. A.D. 800-1400. Gold foil impression. 18 mm, 0.55 g. A round gold foil impression depicting a facing male bust, bearded and draped, with thick, disheveled hair, the whole contained within a beaded border. An indentation on the brow obscures part of the forehead.
