EASTERN CILICIA OR NORTHERN SYRIA. Uncertain Caesarea. Claudius, 41-54. (Bronze, 25 mm, 6.60 g, 12 h), 46 AD. ΤΙΒΕΡΙΟC ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟC KAICAP Head of Claudius to left. Rev. KAIC /APEΩΝ ETOYC E Tyche, veiled, with towered headdress seated right on rock , holding ears of corn; below, forepart of uncertain river-god swimming right. Sydenham 59 (Caesarea in Capadocia). RPC I 4086. BMC 4 (Anazarbos in Cilicia). De Saulcy 1 (Caesarea Panias in Judaea). Well centered and clear. Some earth deposits and struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, very fine.
