1923-S 1C MS65 Red NGC. The 1923-S Lincoln cent claims a mintage of 8.7 million pieces, but few examples were saved by contemporary collectors. As a result, the 1923-S is rare in MS65 condition, with the red designation, and no finer coins have been certified (5/17). The well-preserved original red surfaces of this impressive Gem have mellowed to crimson in some areas, with satiny mint luster throughout. Census: 2 in 65 Red, 0 finer (5/17).
