1878 50C WB-101 MS65 NGC. Type Two Reverse. This vibrantly lustrous Gem is frosty and attractively toned, showing mottled olive-gold, sea-green, amber, and pink toning on the obverse, with similar colors surrounding a brilliant center on the reverse. Slight strike weakness occurs on the eagle's left (facing) talons. Some die rust is noted on Liberty's upper torso. Few 1878 half dollars are seen this fine. Census: 5 in 65, 0 finer (6/17).
