1870-CC $1 AU55 PCGS. OC-1, Low R.4. The 2018 Guide Book gives the mintage of the 1870-CC Seated Liberty dollar as 11,758 pieces, but recent research by R.W. Julian indicates the actual production total was slightly larger, at 12,462 coins. This Choice AU specimen shows some light wear on the well-detailed design elements and the lightly abraded surfaces retain much original mint luster. Attractive highlights of greenish-gold toning enhance the overall eye appeal. Population: 38 in 55, 35 finer (5/17).
