Morgan Dollars
1885-CC $1 VAM-3 MS67 PCGS. Die scratches above and in front of the eye join a distinctive mintmark that shows die chips and a cockeyed second C that nearly touches the ribbon -- all defining characteristics of the VAM-3 die pair. But make no mistake, the main attraction is the intense silver luster that pours over each side of this sharply struck Carson City dollar. Brilliant-white throughout, only the tiniest ticks are seen on the Superb Gem frosted surfaces, and they are few and far between. The eye appeal is exceptional. Population (all varieties): 92 in 67 (4 in 67+), 1 finer (5/17).
