Indian Eagles
1916-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Aside from the McKinley commemorative gold dollars coined at Philadelphia in 1916 and 1917, the only gold coins produced from 1916 through 1919 were the San Francisco issues of 1916. Gold production was halted as the U.S. entered the European conflict that is known today as World War I. This Select Mint State piece is highly attractive with trivial marks on its brilliant and lustrous yellow-gold surfaces. PCGS has only certified 68 numerically finer examples (5/17).
