1861 $20 MS61 PCGS. Although nearly 3 million Liberty double eagles were struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1861 the issue is quite elusive in high grade today. This impressive MS61 specimen exhibits sharply detailed design elements and lustrous orange-gold surfaces, with the expected number of minor contact marks for the grade. Overall eye appeal is quite strong.
