Liberty Double Eagles
1877-CC $20 AU53 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. The double eagles of 1877 represent the first year of a new subtype with the denomination TWENTY DOLLARS fully spelled out. Examples of this Carson City emission (42,565 coins struck) are seldom located finer than the AU53 representative offered here, especially with CAC approval. The design features are well-struck with slight friction. Original khaki-gold color combines with glints of peripheral luster, resulting in wonderful eye appeal.
