1884-CC $20 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. With a reported mintage of 81,139 pieces, the 1884-CC Liberty double eagle is an available date in the Carson City series and always in demand for type purposes. This pleasing near-Mint specimen shows just a trace of actual wear on the strongly impressed design elements, with slightly subdued satiny mint luster on both sides. Aside from some chatter on Liberty's cheek, the orange-gold surfaces are lightly abraded and attractive.
