1909 $20 MS64 PCGS. The mintage of 161,282 double eagles at Philadelphia in 1909 is small to start with, and that mintage is then approximately equally divided between the normal date offered here and the 1909/8 overdate. This example is brilliant and fully lustrous with frosty yellow-gold surfaces and excellent eye appeal. PCGS has only certified 29 numerically finer examples (5/17).
