1938-D 50C Oregon MS68+ PCGS Secure. CAC. Ex: Bruce Scher. An exquisitely preserved and profoundly appealing piece with pale steel-gray shadings across most of each side but colorful bands, orange on the right reverse reverse with that color as well as lavender and plum on the corresponding area of the obverse. The mintage was 6,000 pieces plus assay coins. Population: 46 in 68 (8 in 68+), 3 finer. CAC: 24 in 68, 0 finer (5/17).
