1909-S/S 1C S Over Horizontal S, FS-1502, MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. The low-mintage 1909-S has one interesting variety: the S Over Horizontal S. Fortunately for collectors, enough examples of the first-year issue were set aside to provide a significant number of high-grade survivors, though few attain the MS66 level. This is a precisely struck and lustrous butter-gold Premium Gem. A lens is required to locate pinpoint carbon and trivial grazes. Population: 90 in 66 (12 in 66+) Red, 1 finer.
