Proof Lincoln Cents
1911 1C PR65 Red NGC. Matte proof cents were shipped by the Mint in cellophane wrappers that typically toned the coins, particularly if the collector left the cent with the cellophane. As a result, NGC has certified just 12 proof 1911 cents as Red. The present fully struck specimen is predominantly apricot-gold, though the portrait high points are toned. In an older generation holder. Census: 4 in 65 Red, 1 finer (5/17).
