1912 5C PR68 NGC. Of the 2,145 proof nickels struck in 1912, the final year of the series, only a select few have reached this unsurpassed grade level. The obverse is almost brilliant with slight contrast, while the reverse features even golden patina. As expected, the design is fully impressed, and close inspection fails to reveal any distinguishable contact marks. Census: 6 in 68 (2 in 68★), 0 finer (5/17).
