1999-W $10 Quarter-Ounce Gold Eagle, Unfinished Proof Dies, FS-401, MS69 PCGS. A revamped version of Saint-Gaudens' striding Liberty design from 1907 appears on the obverse of this quarter-ounce Gold Eagle. The design should have been set against mirrored fields on a W-mint coin, although the present piece was struck with an unfinished proof head die. Eye appeal is excellent, and the preservation is nearly pristine.
