Proof Morgan Dollars
1886 $1 PR64 PCGS. This 1886 proof has deep original toning -- an attractive departure from the often-seen bright, dipped coins in the sub-Gem grades. Both sides show russet-gold patina that masks any stray hairlines. Sharp definition characterizes even the eagle's talons, which are frequently weak on Morgan dollars even when the more commonly observed breast feathers and hair details are bold. Population: 44 in 64, 40 finer (5/17).
