1911-D $2 1/2 AU55 PCGS. Strong D. The 1911-D is the low-mintage key to the Indian quarter eagle series. This impressive Choice AU specimen exhibits just a trace of wear on the sharply detailed design elements and shows the diagnostic wire rim along the right obverse edge. The all-important mintmark is bold and the lightly abraded orange-gold surfaces retain much of their original mint luster.
