Indian Eagles
1907 $10 No Motto MS64+ NGC. Mint Engraver Charles Barber made significant but necessary changes to the original Saint-Gaudens design prior to striking the 1907 No Motto eagles. The stops (periods) within the legend were removed and the olive branch beneath the eagle was redesigned. Still, the essence of the Saint-Gaudens design survived and many believe the Indian eagle ranks among the most beautiful of all American coinage. This Plus-graded near-Gem is an ideal example of the No Motto type, with strong orange-gold color and deeply frosted luster. The coin is well-struck and well-preserved.
