1938-D 50C Oregon MS68 NGC. Glistening mint luster is mostly untoned on this remarkably well-preserved 1938-D Oregon Trail half dollar. The rear end of the covered wagon shows minor strike softness, but the design elements are otherwise boldly rendered. Finer examples of the date are extremely rare. Census: 63 in 68 (3 in 68+, 34 in 68 ★, 2 in 68+★), 2 finer (5/17).
