1953 50C Washington-Carver MS67 PCGS. The 1953 Washington-Carver commemorative half dollar has a reported distribution of 8,003 pieces. The coins were poorly received by the numismatic community, and complaints about the issue influenced the Treasury Department to oppose any commemorative issues for years to come. That aside, the issue is very rare in MS67. This spectacular Superb Gem enjoys an unusually sharp strike and vibrant mint luster on both sides.
