1787 FUGIO Fugio Cent, STATES UNITED, 4 Cinquefoils, Pointed Rays MS62 Red and Brown PCGS. Newman 11-X, Low R.4. Significant portions of original red color shows over each side with a light accent of brown also present. A suitably struck example that is essentially unabraded, although a few shallow planchet flaws limit the grade. Many times scarcer than the Newman 13-X (Bank of New York) hoard variety. Struck from a clashed obverse die. Encapsulated in a green label holder. Listed on page 90 of the 2018 Guide Book.
